Velo De Ville

For more than 50 years, Velo De Ville have been passionately developing and producing bikes. All of Velo De Ville’s  electric bicycles are made in Altenberge, North West Germany near the Dutch border. Extensive experience has enabled them to continually improve their quality and develop new models, functions and designs. Velo De Ville is a family-run business and has kept on growing, now employing over 150 people who all share a passion for bikes. Enjoying what they do is particularly important to them because this is after all the basic requirement in terms of making high-quality products.

Most of the component parts for installation are manufactured in-house, this allows Velo De Ville to constantly check and improve quality. Moreover, having a high depth of production allows them to develop new functions and materials and test them straight away. All components that they do not produce themselves have to meet the highest quality standards. For this reason, they carefully source components, if possible from German or European production lines. Their quality management has been awarded DIN ISO Certification.

Velo De Ville hand build all of their bikes, their wheels, saddles, handlebars, as well as lighting and gear components, are assembled by hand at various stations. They are also unique in that their range of colours is expansive with both matt and high gloss finishes which can be specially ordered if required, their finish is second to none. Teamwork is an important part of the creation of every bike for them, with everybody playing a part. Their employees’ experience and team spirit forms a solid basis for the customer-specific production of their quality bikes. This is how they are able to produce hundreds of bikes by hand every day.

Melbourne Electric Bicycles and Perth Electric Bike Centre are proud to have partnered exclusively with Velo De Ville to showcase a range of beautiful German hand built Bosch electric bicycles for the Australian market.
